Welcome to The Next Era—a five-month journey designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and career possibilities, from accounting to fashion design and everything in between. Through a partnership with Vans and the City of Columbus, over the past few years, we’ve watched more than 80 students light up with new ideas, set meaningful goals, and discover just how many career opportunities the fashion world holds. We can’t wait to see what this next group will dream up.

Each year, we invite 20 students in grades 9–11 from Central Ohio to join us through an application and interview process. Those selected dive into every stage of product development, gaining real, hands-on experience and learning directly from Vans professionals and other industry leaders. Our curriculum—created by Vans experts, local creatives, and community mentors—blends in-person and virtual sessions that cover self-branding, financial literacy, design, production, and more.

This is a rare opportunity for young people in Central Ohio, and we’re thrilled to open the door. The Next Era isn’t just a program—it’s a place to build skills, meet inspiring mentors, and start shaping a future filled with possibility. We can’t wait to welcome the next class and watch their stories unfold.
